Materials & Care

Our products are made from high-quality materials that are designed to withstand the test of time and usage. However, to ensure they remain in good condition for years and decades, they too require some love and care every now and then.

We believe that small actions can lead to significant impacts, which is why we kindly ask you to take care of your FitWood product by checking it regularly. Most of the time small stains can be cleaned, broken parts can be repaired or replaced with the spare parts we offer, and small dents and marks, well, those just tell the story of a life lived. If you no longer need the product yourself or it has reached the end of its life, please pass it on or recycle the parts appropriately.

And remember, you can always contact us if you need any advice regarding product maintenance, repairs, or spare parts!

Care instructions:

Birch plywood

Birch plywood is a very durable material, which also makes it quite easy to maintain. However, it is important to still regularly check the tightening of the screws to prevent any additional strain on the structures and to ensure the safe use of the product. If the product becomes dirty, we recommend wiping it lightly with a damp cloth and, if necessary, with a mild detergent. The most important thing to avoid with wooden products is any contact with water, as this can cause damage to them. It is also good to remember that wood is always a living natural material, so variations in color and patterns are completely normal.

Textiles

The materials for our soft products have been carefully selected to best meet the usage requirements of each product. We strive to use recycled materials in our textile products whenever it is possible to minimize their carbon footprint. Recycled natural fibers often have a lively surface, and small color spots and irregularities are normal characteristics of the fabric.

Despite the high-quality materials, textiles may develop pilling over time, and removing pills is part of the fabric's normal care. Pilling can be prevented by vacuuming the fabric surface with a textile nozzle without rubbing it, and a lint remover is an excellent tool for removing pills. To keep the product in good condition for as long as possible, always follow the washing and drying instructions on the product and air them out as needed.

Spare parts

We do our best to offer spare parts for our products to extend their lifespan. If your product needs replacement parts, you can contact us directly via email at info@fitwood.com. Please note that you can also find cover stickers in various colors on our online store if the stickers on your product have worn out or gone missing over time.
