Team FitWood wants to introduce you to Finnish childhood games. This digital playbook includes games for even the smallest members of the family, and games that can be played almost wherever you are. The playbook has games that can be played alone, and games that are a great way to build social skills and teamwork. All of the games improve a child’s motorskills, creativity and independence. The playbook is only available in English.
Finnish children’s games are passed down through generations, and they reflect Finland’s deep connection with the outdoors. Many Finnish games are rooted in physical movement and teamwork, and with minimal rules and equipment, these games emphasize inclusion, creativity, and the pure pleasure of play.
In a world increasingly driven by screens and structure, traditional games offer a refreshing
return to spontaneity. They remind us that with a little imagination, a few friends, and an open space—indoors or out—play can happen anywhere.
